They are believed to have fled to Malaysia.

The men, aged between 20 and 35, are among seven men wanted by the authorities for the attacks.

They are Mohd Sabri Baka, Abd Rossa Khadal, Arip Soako, Mujahidin Sata and Imran Binmaayeng.

Deputy Sungai Golok police chief Sub Colonel Wan Seman Wan Salleh said the five were “the most wanted criminals in the country”.
“We have yet to obtain warrants for two others as priority is given to these five.

“We suspect they are hiding in isolated villages in Terengganu and Kelantan. They may also try to recruit locals.”

Wan Seman said Thai police had not offered any reward for the men, but urged the public to provide information on their whereabouts.

He said police had identified several places where the suspects could be hiding.

“They fled to Malaysia early this year to avoid arrest.

“They are not members of the separatist group RKK (Ronda Kumpulan Kecil), but are members of an even more dangerous group.”
