SINGAPORE : Three Singapore Airlines flights between Singapore and New York have been affected by severe weather in New York.
Flight SQ22 bound for New York on Monday night was diverted to Los Angeles International Airport as the Newark Liberty International Airport in New York had to be shut down because of snow storms.
SIA said the plane is expected to land in Los Angeles at 4.48am local time, which is about 22 hours later than originally scheduled.
The other two flights affected were those that were to have taken off from New York's John F Kennedy (JFK) International Airport for Singapore on December 26 and 27.
SQ25 flight scheduled to depart on December 26 was delayed one and a half days and will arrive on Wednesday at 12.35pm Singapore time.
The second SQ25 flight that was to have departed on December 27 was delayed 16 hours and will also arrive on Wednesday, though the time of arrival has not been confirmed.
Meanwhile, the flight from Singapore to JFK arrived on schedule on Tuesday.
The returning SQ21 flight from Newark to Singapore is also scheduled to arrive on time on Wednesday.
