SINGAPORE: The Malaysia-Singapore Joint Implementation Team (MSJIT) has submitted a draft Written Instrument to the respective governments for consideration and approval.
This follows their sixth and final meeting in Singapore.
The MSJIT had worked on the implementation of the Points of Agreement and the Joint Statements between the Prime Ministers of Malaysia and Singapore on May 24 and September 20, 2010.
Among them was the decision by Singapore and Malaysia to a land swop agreement in exchange for pockets of Malayan railway land in Singapore.
The land swop involves four land parcels in Singapore's financial district in Marina South, as well as two pieces of land in the Ophir-Rochor area.
These go towards implementing the 1990 Points of Agreement on Malaysian Railway Land in Singapore.
